Summary
We are seeking Seasonal Event Servers to provide exceptional service to fans during private events and special occasions over the summer (May - September). The event server will ensure efficient banquet service operations, working closely with the beverage team and kitchen to coordinate food and beverage presentation and delivery times.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a seasonal position with the primary purpose being to support our Bistro operations during our highest volume period (May - September). If another Part-Time or Full-Time role becomes available during this time, the Seasonal Bistro Crew Member is welcome to apply to the permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Execute banquet events according to orders, completing all assigned tasks and duties.
- Assign opening and closing duties to servers, ensuring they fulfill their tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for buffet replenishment and timing of plated events.
- Maintain and store event equipment and supplies appropriately.
- Be responsible for rental equipment at the conclusion of events.
- Welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to.
- Set up and tear down banquet areas, handling linens, place settings, and buffet items.
- Arrange banquet rooms according to function sheets and instructions.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests from the kitchen and bar.
- Pour and refill wine, coffee, water, and other beverages responsibly.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of related experience and/or training in a high-volume restaurant.
- Proficiency with Point-of-Sale systems.
- Must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers card, issued by the city of San Diego.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
